Elephant di Barbara Tóth

Making an elephant shape pattern arose from my awareness of the behavior of these animals. It is known that they are quite human-like. They mourn the dead and even bury them sometimes, also able to cry. They possess artistic inclinations, can be taught to paint. While designing the geometrical pattern, I took care of the elephant shape, to be recognizable.

Az elefánt forma mintává alakítása abból adódott, hogy régebb óta figyelemmel követem az elefántok viselkedését. Köztudott, hogy néha egészen emberiek, meggyászolják halottaikat, olykor el is temetik őket, képesek sírni. Művészi hajlamokkal is rendelkeznek, festésre taníthatók. A geometrikus minta tervezésénél ügyeltem arra, hogy az elefánt forma felismerhető maradjon.

My name is Barbara Toth, I was born in 1992 in Hungary. In 2016 I graduated from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest with specialisation fashion and textile design. I design mainly printed, knitted and woven textiles to interior spaces, which have a unique role, to make our household cozy. In my works you can find curtains, pillows, rugs and other home textiles.

Tóth Barbara vagyok, 1992-ben születtem Magyarországon. 2016-ban diplomáztam a budapesti Moholy- Nagy Művészeti Egyetem divat- és textiltervezés szakán. Főként nyomott, kötött és szövött anyagokat tervezek, belső terekbe. Egy lakásban fontos szerepe van a textíliáknak, ezek segítségével hangulatos otthont teremthetünk magunk köré. Munkáim között függönyök, párnák, szőnyegek, és egyéb lakástextilek találhatók.
