I was staring at my keyboard thinking of a cool carpet design, looked at my had and thought fingerprints are cool. Painted my thumb, imprinted some paper, scanned it in and redrew in illustrator (changed it slightly just incase I won, because somebody could use it to get in to my iPhone 5 hehe). That's about it!
