In the Middle Ages, the neumatic notation was a medium to provide a graphic representation of the singing voice prior to the invention of five-line staff notation.
"Neuma" carpet rephrases the basic neume signs to fit the acoustic attributes of contemporary architecture.

Nel Medioevo la notazione neumatica era la semiografia musicale adottata dai canti gregoriani prima dell'invenzione del pentagramma.
Il tappeto "Neuma" riformula graficamente i neumi di base al fine di restituire perfettamente gli attributi acustici dell'architettura contemporanea.

Om Elena Trevisan

Elena Trevisan is an Italian architect and designer. She lives and works in Venice. She obtained a PhD in Architectural Composition, from Iuav University of Venice, Italy, in 2015. Elena Trevisan has been awarded a number of international prizes, including the RED DOT AWARD (2016), the INDUSTART International Industrial Design Award (2015) and the EGE European Glass Experience (2014). Her design has been displayed at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore, at The Finnish Glass Museum in Riihimaki (Finland), at the Fundación Centro Nacional del Vidrio in La Granja (Spain), at the Museu do Vidro da Marinha Grande (Portugal) and at the Murano Glass Museum (Italy).
As designer, she is interested in exploring different materials. Her textile works are influenced by Bauhaus, Futurism, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and the Wiener Werkstätte.

Elena Trevisan è un architetto e designer italiana. Vive e lavora a Venezia. Nel 2015 ha ottenuto un Dottorato in Composizione Architettonica presso l’Università Iuav di Venezia. Elena Trevisan si è aggiudicata alcuni premi internazionali di design, tra i quali il RED DOT AWARD (2016), l’INDUSTART International Industrial Design Award (2015) e l’EGE European Glass Experience (2014). I suoi progetti sono stati esposti al Red Dot Design Museum a Singapore, al Finnish Glass Museum di Riihimaki (Finlandia), alla Fundación Centro Nacional del Vidrio di La Granja (Spagna), al Museu do Vidro di Marinha Grande (Portogallo) e al Museo del Vetro di Murano (Italia).
Come designer, il suo lavoro si concentra nell’indagine di materiali differenti. Le sue opere tessili sono influenzate dal Bauhaus, dal Futurismo, dall’Art Nouveau, dall’Art déco e dalla Wiener Werkstätte.
